Tokyo Metro Tests AI That Directs Passengers Toward Less Crowded Train Cars
Tokyo Metro is experimenting with AI and floor projections to steer commuters away from crowded train cars, potentially making packed rush-hour journeys a little more manageable. The trial is taking place at Kita-senju Station on Tokyo Metro’s Chiyoda Line, which serves more than 240,000 passengers per day.
