Black Clover Season 2 Premieres October 3 on Crunchyroll

The second season of the Black Clover anime series is scheduled to premiere on Crunchyroll on October 3, 2026. Studio Pierrot returns to handle animation production for the new season, with Ayataka Tanemura retaining his role as director. Tanemura previously directed the film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King and worked on the latter portion of the first season.

The upcoming season follows the conclusion of the original run, which ended in March 2021 after airing 170 episodes. The first season originally began broadcasting in October 2017 based on Yūki Tabata’s manga. Viewers preparing for the return are advised that the 2023 film takes place during a six-month time skip following episode 120 and contains plot elements integrated into the manga's finale.

Anime Corner reported on September 28 that a new pre-premiere visual was revealed ahead of the October 3 return. CBR Anime also noted on September 28 that the Black Clover manga concluded with final power rankings.
