Virtua Fighter Crossroads Reveals Lionel Rafale in New Trailer

Sega has unveiled a new character trailer for Virtua Fighter Crossroads, introducing the mysterious martial artist Lionel Rafale. The narrative-driven action-adventure title is scheduled for release in 2027. Set in the city of Vilasapara, the game features an omnibus narrative experienced through four distinct protagonists, each driven by unique convictions and past burdens. Players explore a living city filled with activities and choice encounters that shape destinies and forge alliances.

The project breaks from traditional competitive fighting games by seamlessly intertwining story and combat. David Hayter serves as world building supervisor, while Brad Kayne leads writing duties alongside scenario writers Tsuyoshi Furuta and Shinji Yamamoto. Sega and Ryu ga Gotoku Studio first teased the new project in December 2024, followed by gameplay teasers in August 2025.
