Dark Horse Releases The Credits Roll Into the Sea Volume 1

Dark Horse has published the first volume of The Credits Roll Into the Sea, a manga by John Tarachine. The story follows Umiko Chino, a sixty-five-year-old widow who enrolls in a film course after meeting Kai, a young student. Their shared passion for cinema helps Umiko pursue her dream of making movies despite facing age-related skepticism from peers.

The English edition features translation by Jocelyne Allen and editing by Carl Gustav Horn. It is presented in trade paperback format with high-quality white paper to highlight the artist's cinematic style. The series is currently being adapted into a full-length anime film.

Subsequent volumes are scheduled for release in October for Volume 2 and February 2027 for Volume 3. Dark Horse previously released Tarachine’s Witch of Thistle Castle and other works under different pen names.
