Takumigraphics Releases Akane Torikai’s Wandering Cat’s Cage Omnibus

Fantagraphics’ Takumigraphics label has published an omnibus edition of Akane Torikai’s speculative fiction manga, Wandering Cat’s Cage. This release combines the series' original two volumes into a single large hardback format, with a corresponding eBook version also available for digital readers.

The story is set in a dystopian future where reproduction is strictly controlled by the government and men are a dying demographic. The narrative follows Sanada, an acupuncturist who can still become pregnant, and Reiho, a man whose existence is hidden from authorities to prevent forced participation in state-run breeding programs. They reside in a shantytown on the outskirts of a city governed by women.

The physical book includes high-quality paper printing, a preface from the author, an interview with Deb Aoki, and a closing essay by translator Jocelyne Allen. It carries a recommended retail price of £30.99.
