Sam Maggs Hopes to Adapt Dragon Age for WEBTOON
Sam Maggs, the writer behind the popular WEBTOON series Recollection: A Star Trek Story, has expressed a strong desire to adapt the Dragon Age franchise into a new comic. Speaking with CBR's John Dodge, Maggs highlighted her background as a video game writer and noted that she believes the Dragon Age universe would be an ideal setting for the platform. She specifically pointed to the potential for romantic storylines involving mages and templars within the series' lore.
Maggs is currently writing Recollection: A Star Trek Story, which premiered in late July and features amnesiac passengers on a starship. While discussing her work, she mentioned that adapting established properties allows for creative freedom compared to strictly adhering to canon continuity. Her interest in bringing Dragon Age to WEBTOON reflects a growing trend of expanding video game intellectual property into digital comic formats.
