Phantom Busters Manga Gets TV Anime Adaptation in 2027
Neoshoco’s Phantom Busters manga will receive a television anime adaptation, scheduled for release in 2027. The official announcement was made on September 24 via the series' X account, following a brief teaser graphic.
The story follows club members Mogari and Eugene as they recruit classmate Kotaro Tamon, who possesses the ability to communicate with ghosts but struggles with social anxiety. VIZ Media began publishing the English version of the manga in October 2025, after it started serialization in Shueisha’s Jump Square in August 2023.
Author Neoshoco expressed gratitude to readers for supporting the project, noting that the series' humor is expected to translate well to animation. The manga has sold over 1.4 million copies, including digital editions.
