One-Time Trigger psychological horror game demo released on Steam

Ruren Studio has launched a free demo for One-Time Trigger, a first-person psychological horror title scheduled for release in 2027. The game is currently available on Steam for Windows players.

Players assume the role of an investigator within the Providence special care facility, tasked with identifying and eliminating a doppelganger mimicking one of seven patients. Success requires examining unique rooms, collecting clues, and comparing testimonies to determine the impostor's identity. The mechanic centers on a single-bullet revolver; shooting the wrong patient or failing to act before the timer expires results in an immediate game over.

The experience draws comparisons to John Carpenter’s The Thing, emphasizing tension through limited resources and distinct environmental hazards. Each patient presents specific symptoms and habits that must be analyzed carefully to avoid fatal errors.
