Historie Anime Premieres January 2027, Animated by LIDENFILMS

The anime adaptation of Hitoshi Iwaaki’s manga Historie is scheduled to premiere in Japan during January 2027. The series will be animated by studio LIDENFILMS and adapts the twelve-volume manga originally published in Japanese.

Set in the fourth century BCE, the story follows Eumenes, a young scholar traveling with the philosopher Aristotle toward Cardia. Raised as a prominent family’s second son, Eumenes eventually becomes secretary to Alexander the Great. The narrative focuses on his early life and journey toward Macedonian service from a human perspective rather than centering on famous rulers.

Voice cast members include Nobunaga Shimazaki as Eumenes, Tsuguo Mogami as Aristotle, Wataru Takagi as Charon, and Yuuko Kaida as Telesilla. Specific details regarding the director, series composition, character design, music credits, exact premiere date, and international streaming plans have not yet been announced.
