Dragon Con 2026 Highlights Onesie Wednesday and Record Blood Donations

Dragon Con 2026 introduced a new pre-convention tradition called Onesie Wednesday, held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. This event transformed the evening into an official countdown-to-midnight party featuring live DJs, a large display clock, and a dance floor where attendees wore onesies. The gathering also included a book drive for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which collected over 5,000 children's books for distribution in Georgia.

Additionally, the convention partnered with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers for its 24th annual blood drive. Volunteers assisted by promoting the initiative during badge pickup hours. This year’s effort set a new record with more than 4,000 donors participating. Each donation can save up to three lives, highlighting the significant community impact of the volunteer efforts across multiple states.
