EA Shuts Down BioWare After 30 Years, Cancels Next Mass Effect & Lays Off Hundreds
Electronic Arts has announced the closure of RPG developer BioWare after more than 30 years of operation, bringing an unceremonious end to the studio responsible for Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, while also canceling the next Mass Effect game and laying off hundreds of employees.
