Yaiba: Samurai Legend Anime Illustration to Board ISS
The upcoming second season of the Yaiba: Samurai Legend anime will feature a special illustration by creator Gosho Aoyama aboard the International Space Station. The artwork, depicting Yaiba wielding the Dragon God Sword alongside Kaguya from the Kaguya Arc, is scheduled for launch in the Kibo experiment module. This initiative is part of JAXA’s paid utilization program, which permits private entities to utilize the station for commercial activities.
Accompanying the illustration is a secret promotional package that astronauts will open on orbit. A teaser video showcasing the art was filmed at the JAXA Tsukuba Space Center. The new season, produced by WIT Studio and directed by Takahiro Hasui, is set to premiere on January 9, 2027.
