Teacher, We Will Destroy the World! Volume 2 Review

Panini UK has released the second volume of Kina Kobayashi’s fantasy manga series, Teacher, We Will Destroy the World!, continuing the story of Solo, an assassin posing as a teacher at a magic school. This installment features over 240 pages of content, maintaining the high production quality established in the previous release.

The narrative centers on a conflict where student Xioa takes Ibuki hostage to force Solo to teach forbidden resurrection magic. Xioa intends to use a human sacrifice to revive his best friend, leading to a tense standoff that tests Solo’s ability to manage unruly students without resorting to violence. The volume also introduces a new arc involving upcoming midterms, where failing students face expulsion and potentially turn to evil magic.

Kobayashi expands the world-building and character depth while delivering fast-paced action sequences. The English translation by CCC International LLC is noted for its clarity. In Japan, the series comprises ten volumes, with the third English edition scheduled for December and the fourth for February.
