The third season of the anime adaptation of Shangri-La Frontier is scheduled to premiere on January 10, 2027. The broadcast will span two consecutive cours in Japan, with international streaming rights held by Crunchyroll. This new installment shifts focus from the primary virtual reality title to an esports drama centered on Galaxia Heroes: Chaos.

The narrative picks up during the Global Game Competition exhibition match between professional teams Star Rain and Nitro Squad. Protagonist Rakurou Hizutome joins Nitro Squad as a substitute player under the alias NoFace, competing alongside Kei Uomi and Towa Amane. The opening arc prioritizes this tournament storyline over the main game's plot.

Key returning staff include chief director Toshiyuki Kubooka and series composer Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. Voice actors Yuuma Uchida, Youko Hikasa, and Makoto Koichi reprise their roles as Sunraku, Arthur Pencilgon, and OiKatzo respectively.

Crunchyroll News reported on October 15, 2026, that the first exhibition match visual for Shangri-La Frontier Season 3 was revealed.
