Sanrio Announces Smartphone Rhythm Game 'Kawaii Me Live!' for January 2027

Sanrio Games has officially announced the upcoming release of Sanrio Kawaii Me Live!, a new smartphone-exclusive rhythm game scheduled to launch in January 2027. This title marks a significant expansion into mobile gaming for the iconic character franchise, bringing beloved figures such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Cinnamoroll to interactive musical gameplay.

Players will engage with two distinct rhythm mechanics: one involving timed taps when visual indicators converge, and another requiring sliding or tapping along a horizontal bar as notes descend. The free-to-play experience includes an initial playlist featuring seven original tracks alongside collaboration songs from artists like Polkadot Stingray and Zutomayo, with additional music added post-launch.

Beyond performance, the game emphasizes customization, allowing users to unlock outfits and design stage layouts by completing musical challenges. Pre-registration is currently active on both the App Store and Google Play Store, with incentives tied to registration milestones. A special live event featuring artist performances and character appearances will also take place at Yokohama Kannai Hall on January 14, 2027.
