Made in Abyss Theatrical Series Part 2 Announced with New Key Visual

The second installment of the Made in Abyss theatrical series has been officially confirmed for production. This new film continues the narrative established by the first movie, Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery, which is scheduled to open in Japan on October 23, 2026. To commemorate the premiere of Part 1, a fresh key visual was released, featuring Srajo alongside members of her Curse Fleet, Hail Hex.

Additional cast members have also been revealed, including Shunsuke Takeuchi as Yataramaru. The animation studio Kinema Citrus returns to handle production duties, maintaining continuity from previous entries in the franchise. Character designs are managed by Yuka Kuroda and Kazuchika Kise from Production I.G. The project adapts the popular manga by Akihito Tsukushi, which boasts over 22 million circulating copies.
