Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp Collector’s Edition Review

MVM Entertainment has released a collector’s edition Blu-ray of Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp, a compilation film condensing the original Kizumonogatari trilogy. This release serves as a single-entry point into the Monogatari franchise for new viewers who wish to avoid watching three separate films or skipping ahead to later TV seasons. The movie retains the unique animation style of studio Shaft and the musical score by Satoru Kosaki, while featuring the return of the Japanese voice cast.

The review notes that while the visual action remains impressive, the condensed runtime sacrifices gentle character moments and comedic writing found in the originals. Existing fans may feel content is missing, but newcomers will find it a reasonably good starting point. The package includes a 12-page booklet and cast commentary.
