Katsuwo Launches Manga Adaptation of Ōja no Ban Kuruwase Shōgi Novels

Manga artist Katsuwo has begun serializing an adaptation of Renren Ii's light novel series, Ōja no Ban Kuruwase: Net Shōgi no Teiō, in the November issue of Kadokawa's Dengeki Daioh G magazine. The new comic appears on the issue's front cover and follows Mikado Watanabe, a high school student who secretly plays shōgi online under a formidable alias before joining his school club to compete in amateur tournaments.

The original novels debuted on Kadokawa's Kakuyomu platform in December 2023 and are currently ongoing. Kadokawa released the first print volume with illustrations by Fujiko on March 21, followed by the third volume on August 24. A fourth volume is scheduled for release on November 20.
