Kagurabachi Anime Casts Yuichi Nakamura as Soshiro Azami

The upcoming Kagurabachi anime has announced the casting of voice actor Yuichi Nakamura in the role of Soshiro Azami. This addition joins the previously revealed main cast ahead of the series' scheduled premiere in April 2027. Alongside the casting news, the production team released a new character visual and a dedicated trailer for the character.

Azami is described as a powerful sorcerer affiliated with the Kamunabi organization who possesses extraordinary physical strength. He is one of the few individuals aware of the protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira’s existence, which had been kept secret. Nakamura expressed excitement about joining the project, noting that he read the manga volumes during the audition process and appreciated the series' worldbuilding and action sequences.

Studio Cypic is handling animation production under director Tetsuya Takeuchi. The series follows Chihiro, a swordsmith’s son seeking revenge after his father is murdered by a sorcerer group.
