Gundam Reveals Brand-New PS5 Game With First Official Trailer

Bandai Namco has unveiled the first official trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 3, a new free-to-play team combat title. The game is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Players will pilot various Mobile Suits from across the franchise's history to engage in large-scale online battles. The gameplay emphasizes team composition, allowing participants to balance long-range firepower with close-quarters combat and unique skills. Beyond mech piloting, users can exit their cockpits to plant bombs, secure objectives, and coordinate attack plans with allies. A central Base Camp hub enables global interaction, mission planning, and team assembly before sorties. This entry follows Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2, which launched on PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2018 and went global the following year. While the predecessor amassed millions of downloads, it received mixed critical reception. Bandai Namco Entertainment America officially announced the project on October 28, though no specific launch date has been confirmed for the upcoming installment.
