Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will require a substantial 212GB digital download upon its release. The pre-load window opens on November 10, 2026, with specific start times varying by platform and region. PlayStation 5 users can begin downloading at midnight local time, while Xbox Series X owners may access the content earlier, starting at 12am GMT on November 10.

Physical copies containing redemption codes are scheduled to ship from retailers like Amazon on November 12, allowing those buyers to pre-load the game after redeeming their keys. This timeline ensures digital purchasers have early access compared to those relying on retail distribution for their activation codes.
