ANOMALITH Demo Extended as FuRyu Refines First TPS

FuRyu has announced an extension to the Steam demo period for ANOMALITH, a survival third-person shooter developed by the studio for its first entry into the genre. The title is set in a fictional Japan where the Showa era never ended, blending liminal space aesthetics with retro Japanese visuals and anime-styled character designs. Inspired by Resident Evil and Escape from Tarkov, the game focuses on gathering supplies and returning to base while maintaining a narrative-driven experience.

The development team has been actively refining gameplay mechanics based on player feedback received during the initial demo phase. Producer Gai Kidokoro noted that balancing action elements with the company's signature world-building was a primary challenge. While the game aims to appeal to fans of the genre, it distinguishes itself through its unique artistic direction and story written by Romeo Tanaka.
