CBR Anime Ranks Top 10 Strongest Espers in History

CBR Anime has published a ranking of the ten most powerful esper characters across anime history. The list highlights individuals whose abilities stem from mental power rather than traditional magic or physical training, allowing for diverse narrative applications.

The article profiles key figures such as Tetsuo Shima from Akira, who gained universe-creating powers after an accident, and Accelerator from A Certain Magical Index, known for his vector manipulation. It also features Shigeo Kageyama (Mob) from Mob Psycho 100, whose suppressed telekinesis makes him nearly unbeatable, alongside Tatsumaki from One-Punch Man, an S-Class hero with immense psychokinetic output.

Other notable entries include Lucy from Elfen Lied, whose molecular vectors grant her lethal capabilities, and Kusuo Saiki from The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., whose overwhelming psychic gifts complicate his daily life. The ranking emphasizes how these characters' mental strengths drive both their personal struggles and their status as formidable forces within their respective series.
